The winter savoury grows organically in the sun-kissed region of Andalusia in southern Spain. This vast landscape has an ideal stimulating climate, with cold nights, very hot and dry days and Mediterranean winds. Supported by the seasonal temperature fluctuations, this results in a particularly concentrated and rich development of valuable ingredients and flavours such as monoterpenes, carvacrol and thymol. The fresh, aromatic plants are gently processed into the aromatic essential oil directly on the farm after harvesting the flowering herb.

Farm

The manufacturer of our high-quality essential oil of lemon has been producing essential oils in the Region of Murcia on the Mediterranean coast of Spain since 1970. The essential oils, which are either cold pressed or gently steam distilled in a stainless steel tank, are derived from organic, wildcrafted plants or from the company's own controlled organic cultivation. The farmers and distillers produce their essential oils according to ISO standards, an expertise which is reflected in their harmonious aromas. All of their products are certified organic to EU standards.

Winter savory

The с, also known as "winter savory", belongs to the labiate family (Lamiaceae) and grows as a dwarf semi-shrub with unstalked, linear to lanceolate, 0.5-3cm long, grey-green leaves. It flowers white to lavender-pink in summer. It likes to grow in the Mediterranean region, e.g. in Spain, in dry, open areas and is used as a culinary herb.

Aroma

The scent of mountain savory gives new energy, stimulates the mind and promotes concentration. The high phenolic content of the essential oil has an anti-infection and anti-microbial effect.
