Finest Origin - Highest Grade

The trees of this special white cypress (Callitris glaucophylla) essential oil grow in the largest federally managed white cypress reserve in the Pilliga region of north-central New South Wales, Australia. The semi-arid climate that prevails there, coupled with sandy, barren soils, offer the trees the ideal conditions for developing their special aromas and ingredients in a balanced relationship. The essential oil is gently extracted from the leaves and twigs of wild-growing and sustainably collected white cypresses in our own distillery using steam distillation.

Farm

The maker of this particular essential oil has been involved in creating products from native plants of Australia for over 30 years. Since 2012 he has been producing and selling exclusively local essential oils and hydrosols from his own production and from selected cooperation partners in Australia. Since the early 1990s he has been committed to landscape conservation and the sustainable and prudent use of native plants. The plants for the production of its essential oils and plant water come either from wild harvesting or from sustainable cultivation.

WHITE CYPRESS

The white cypress (Callitris glaucophylla) is an evergreen shrub or small tree that grows to a height of 4 to 12 meters, more rarely up to 20 meters. and belongs to the cypress family (Cupressaceae). The plant is native to mainland Australia, where it is found growing widely in regions with low rainfall and sandy soils. The blue-green to grey-green aromatic scale leaves are up to 8 mm long depending on age. The white cypress was already highly valued by the natives of Australia and found many uses due to its strengthening, beneficial properties. The aromatic wood was traditionally used to make ceremonial objects and tools.

Aroma

The fresh scent invigorates, refreshes and relaxes. It gives confidence, joie de vivre and balance.
