Daily Requirements
Vitamin D3
The contradictory information surrounding daily requirements for vitamin D intake can be confusing. Daily recommendations vary greatly between different organisations and governing bodies. For example, the EU recommends a daily intake of 200 IU for adults, while the German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends 800 IU.
However, numerous researchers and nonprofit organisations believe that these recommendations are too low and are not enough to prevent deficiency. An intake of at least 1500 - 2000 IU or 3000 - 6000 IU are recommended by the American Endocrine Society and the Vitamin D Council (USA), respectively.
Vitamin K2
Although the German Nutrition Society recommends a total intake of at least 70µg vitamin K per day, there are currently no recommendations for vitamin K2 specifically.
Note: Recent research shows that vitamin K1 and vitamin K2 have distinctly different profiles in terms of their effects. Vitamin K2 requirements have not yet been scientifically established, but are likely higher than those listed by the DGE. A complete carboxylation of Matrix GLA protein (MGP) and osteocalcin, which is the main function of vitamin K2, can be observed in doses starting from 100µg per day.
Food Supplement
Do not exceed the recommended dose. Food supplements cannot replace a balanced, varied diet and healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of young children.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
