Our original Indian tulsi extract comes from natural cultivation without the use of artificial fertilisers or pesticides. The ursolic acid is concentrated to a content of 2% through a gentle extraction via pure food-grade alcohol. No other solvents are used in the process, so that the natural purity of the high-quality raw material is fully preserved.
Gentle spray-drying of the extract produces the highly concentrated tulsi extract powder, which is filled into the capsules as the only other processing step. In addition to the pure tulsi plant extract, these contain the prebiotic gum arabic from sustainable, climate-neutral and resource-saving cultivation as a filler.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
