Tribulus terrestris, often referred to as tribulus, is an annual, low, creeping shrub that grows to a maximum height of 60cm. Its small branches are covered with dense foliage, reminiscent of a fern and covered with hair. Burzeldorn blooms with intense yellow flowers. It is a thermophilic plant and is found in the Mediterranean region, in North African and European countries as well as in subtropical areas of India, China and South America. The fruits, seed capsules and leaves of tribulus can be eaten. It has also been used for thousands of years in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine and in the folk medicine of southern European countries.

How are we different?
Our Tribulus terrestris extract is obtained from the seeds of the Burzel thorn (Tribulus terrestris) via pure water-ethanol extraction (food grade). No additional extraction agents or carriers are required for this process. The extracted liquid is concentrated under vacuum and spray-dried to preserve the ingredients, resulting in a pure extract with a high standardised content of 45% protodioscin.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
