These tea trees (Melaleuca alternifolia) grow organically on a large family-run estate in the coastal Northern Rivers region of Australia. Here, in their endemic habitat, they enjoy the ideal stimulating climate for the optimal growth of the tea trees. Their aromas and ingredients are developed in a harmonious ratio, such as terpinene-4-ol and gamma-terpinene. Following the sustainable hand harvesting of the twigs and leaves, the tea is steam distilled directly on the farm.

The tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) belongs to the myrtle family (Myrtaceae) and grows as an evergreen shrub or small tree with a height of 2 to 14 metres. The leaves are narrowly lanceolate and alternate. The hermaphrodite flowers are yellowish white with branched clusters of white stamens. It originates from wetlands in south-east Australia and is now cultivated worldwide. The aromatic leaves and papery bark were traditionally used by the Australian aborigines.
