These tea trees (Melaleuca alternifolia) grow organically on a large family-run estate in the coastal Northern Rivers region of Australia. Here, in their endemic habitat, they enjoy the ideal stimulating climate for the optimal growth of the tea trees. Their aromas and ingredients are developed in a harmonious ratio, such as terpinene-4-ol and gamma-terpinene. Following the sustainable hand harvesting of the twigs and leaves, the tea is steam distilled directly on the farm.
The manufacturer of our high-quality essential oil is a company founded in Australia around 1980. The company specialises in tea tree oil, which has been awarded the Australia Certified Organic, USDA Organic and EU Organic seal. The oils are obtained from plants, some of which come from wild collections with organic quality, controlled organic and conventional cultivation, by gentle steam distillation in a stainless steel tank. He also produces high-quality tea tree extracts and hydrolates.
The tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) belongs to the myrtle family (Myrtaceae) and grows as an evergreen shrub or small tree with a height of 2 to 14 metres. The leaves are narrowly lanceolate and alternate. The hermaphrodite flowers are yellowish white with branched clusters of white stamens. It originates from wetlands in south-east Australia and is now cultivated worldwide. The aromatic leaves and papery bark were traditionally used by the Australian aborigines.
This spicy tea tree oil can be used to refresh and tone. Tart, slightly earthy nuances provide a stable grounding.
