Finest Origin - Highest Grade

These tea trees grow wild on a large family-owned property near the ocean in Australia's Northern River region. The climate here is ideal for the optimal growth of the tea trees. Their aromas and constituents are formed in a harmonious ratio, such as terpinene-4-ol and gamma-terpinene. Harvesting takes place throughout the year. Following the sustainable hand harvesting of the branches and leaves, steam distillation takes place directly on the farm. Many years of experience and passion lead to this aromatic essential oil.

Farm

We source this essential oil from an Australian company which has been producing high-quality tea tree extracts and hydrosols since 1980. The company is specialised in the production of tea tree oil, which is gently steam distilled from conventionally grown, wildcrafted and organically cultivated stems and leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia in a stainless steel tank. Their essential oils are Australia Certified Organic, USDA Organic and EU Certified Organic.

TEA TREE

The tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) belongs to the myrtle family (Myrtaceae) and is endemic to the Australian states of Queensland and New South Wales. The tea tree grows as an evergreen shrub or small tree with a growth height of up to 7 meters. The leaves are narrow, lanceolate and alternate. In spring, it bears yellowish white inflorescences. Traditionally, the tea tree found a versatile use among the Australian aborigines, not only because of its essential oils, the paper-like bark, for example, served as building material for shelters or as material for the preparation of fish or meat.

Aroma

This spicy tea tree oil can be used to refresh and tone. Tart, slightly earthy nuances provide a stable grounding.
