For our Melatonin Duo, we use a combination of immediate-release melatonin and a patented delayed-release melatonin ingredient plus lemon balm, a combination that has been specifically formulated to mimic the natural 8-hour sleep cycle. The directly available melatonin is used to shorten the time it takes to fall asleep, followed by a continuous release of melatonin for the next 8 hours. The special release profile ensures that the correct dosage of melatonin is achieved without feeling drowsy the next morning. Our pure melatonin (99% purity) comes from European production. Our new long-release melatonin ingredient is specially produced just for us without silicon dioxidem which is often contaminated with nanoparticles; instead, a natural, silicon-rich bamboo extract is used.
For our lemon balm extract, we only use the leaves of lemon balm, which are rich in vbioactives and grown without pesticides in Spain. After harvesting and careful selection of the leaves, they are processed using an environmentally friendly and patented extraction process (6-8:1) without chemical solvents or additives. This preserves the purity of the natural raw material and results in our full spectrum lemon balm extract with standardised 15% hydroxycinnamic acid and 7–12% rosmarinic acid.
The only other ingredient is premium gum arabic, cultivated without the use of plant protection products. In contrast to microcrystalline cellulose, a widely used synthetic filler often mixed with nanoparticles, gum arabic is a natural, fibre-rich food. Our fair trade gum arabic is climate neutral and is sustainably cultivated to conserve resources.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
