Skin & Joints
Skin and joints often work in tandem to support the body – so do the substances that contribute to their maintenance by supporting cartilage and bones.
Glucosamine & Chondroitin
Glucosamine is the main building block in the synthesis of proteoglycans (a component of cartilage, tendons, ligaments and synovial fluid) and is a precursor of hyaluronic acid. Chondroitin is a component of cartilage mass.
Ceramides
Ceramides make up about 50% of the lipids in the extracellular matrix of the outermost skin layer (stratum corneum), making them essential for a healthy complexion.
Hyaluronic Acid
We offer two types of highly dosed, purely vegan hyaluronic acid with different molecular weights. Both are produced 100% by fermentation and contain no additives.
Keratin
Keratin is a fibrous protein that is rich in sulphur atoms and is found in our hair, nails and skin. Keratin forms the inner and outer structure of hair; in the skin, it has a strengthening and water-repellent effect.
Collagen & Connective Tissue
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body, comprising more than 30% of the total weight of all the body's proteins. Its presence varies across tissues, with different types of collagen found in each specific tissue. As a structural protein, it plays a vital role in conferring elasticity and strength to various tissues, including cartilage, tendons, ligaments, connective tissue, skin, bones and teeth. During collagen synthesis, amino acids are strung together to form a polypeptide chain, a process which is assisted by essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
Sulphur MSM
MSM is a source of organic sulphur and an important building material in the body, especially for the scaffold protein collagen; it is also a component of glutathione.
