Only the root is used for our saw palmetto nettle extract (Urtica dioica folia), from which an extract is then gently created using only water. The saw palmetto extract is obtained exclusively from the fruit. The standardised extraction process produces a high-quality extract with a guaranteed content of 5% phytosterols. Both ingredients never come into contact with other solvents or extraction agents such as acetone or methanol.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
The stinging nettle is a plant from the nettle family and is found all over the world. Nettles grow as an annual or perennial herbaceous plant and can reach a height of 10cm to 3m, depending on the location and species. The root of the stinging nettle is thin and feathery and often branches out several times; it is dried and then finely chopped.
The saw palmetto belongs to the palm family (Arecaceae) and is found in the south-east of the USA. It thrives on sandy soils and prefers a mild climate. The bushy dwarf palm stands out with its large fan-shaped leaves, which bear dark red fruits in autumn that contain fat-rich seeds. For the indigenous people of Florida, the Seminoles, the berries were an important food and were also used in traditional folklore. The Seminoles used the branches to make wickerwork. The saw palmetto only became known in Europe in the 20th century.
Take 2 capsules with 200ml of water with a meal daily.
