This complex supplies a unique combination of both forms of coenzyme Q10: ubiquinone, the bioidentical, oxidised form of Q10 that bodily cells also produce, and ubiquinol, the bioactive and antioxidative form of Q10.
Ubiquinone is the natural stable form found in the body, which we source from natural fermentation via Rhodobacter sphaeroides bacterium. Rhodobacter sphaeroides is a bacterium that can obtain energy via anaerobic photosynthesis and produce large quantities of Q10.
Kaneka Ubiquinol® is the only active ingredient worldwide from bioactive and stabilised ubiquinol that is derived from 100% natural ingredients via yeast fermentation. The final product is 100% pure ubiquinol in pharmaceutical quality and yeast-free.
Compared to ubiquinone, ubiquinol has higher bioavailability. Both Q10 forms in our Migra Complex complement each other optimally. Regardless which of these two forms of Q10 is supplemented, the coenzyme is absorbed in the intestinal mucosa and can be converted to ubiquinol or ubiquinone. Ubiquinone primarily serves cellular energy metabolism while ubiquinol is responsible for most of the antioxidative functions of Q10.
Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) is a vitamin-like substance discovered in 2003 that, like the coenzyme Q10, plays an important role in energy production in the mitochondria and in the antioxidative system of the body. In contrast to coenzyme Q10, however, PQQ cannot be produced by the body and must be consumed via the diet. PQQ naturally occurs in small quantities in green peppers, tofu, kiwi, and green tea. Due to the "newness" of this substance, PQQ requires Novel Food authorisation from the EU for admission as an ingredient in food supplements.
For our products we exclusively use the premium PQQ active ingredient MGCPQQ® that is produced according to patented methods without the use of auxiliary materials. This ingredient is ultra pure (99%+), non-GMO, and free from allergens, heavy metals and nanoparticles. MGCPQQ®is the only PQQ with EU Novel Food authorisation.
Our Q10 PQQ Complex is rounded off with bioactive vitamin B6 and natural vitamin C for supporting energy metabolism and the nervous system. Most producers use the vitamin B6 form pyridoxin which has no direct biological activity, but which must be first converted by the body into an active form. In contrast, we use vitamin B6 pyridoxal-5-phosphat (P5P, PLP) that can be directly used by the body in various metabolic processes. Our P5P is a pure, high-quality and vegan active ingredient in pharmaceutical quality with high bioavailability.
In contrast to other vitamin C products, which often use synthetic ingredients (ascorbic acid), we derive our vitamin C exclusively from natural sources using a complex process of fermentation. For the production of natural vitamin C products, most manufacturers rely on corn or citrus fruits, yet there can be significant variation in the quality of these raw ingredients. We prioritise the use of exclusively non-GMO corn and ensure that it goes through 6 stages of fermentation to yield the highest quality vitamin C. The end result is a highly concentrated and natural vitamin C product that is free from corn, fructose, and chemical residues.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
