Polyphenol 21 provides a selection of secondary phytochemicals (resveratrol), bioidentical antioxidants (ubiquinone and glutathione) and bioactives (PQQ), combined with vitamin C to protect the cells from oxidative stress.
We use premium Veri-te™* resveratrol, made by Swiss manufacturer Evolva®, with a content of 98%+ bioactive trans-resveratrol. Although the active ingredient is obtained naturally through the fermentation of yeast, the innovative processing method allows for a completely yeast-free end product. The extraction process also does not involve the use of harmful solvents such as ethyl acetate, so our resveratrol is free from solvent residues.
Our ultra-pure vitamin C is derived from non-GMO corn which goes through 6 stages of fermentation to yield the highest quality vitamin C. The end result is a highly concentrated and natural vitamin C product that is free from corn, fructose, and chemical residues. As a result of the lipid coating with bioactive lipids as well as citrus bioflavonoids, this vitamin C has a higher bioavailability, can be better absorbed into the blood, and has a longer retention time.
Our coenzyme Q10 is in the form of stable, bioidentical, oxidised ubiquinone. Coenzyme Q10 is absorbed through the intestinal mucosa and occurs in two different forms: the oxidised form of ubiquinone and the reduced form of ubiquinol. Body cells produce the oxidised form ubiquinone, which is much more stable. This form is converted into the antioxidative ubiquinol form as needed. Ubiquinone plays an important role in energy production, while ubiquinol is also a powerful antioxidant. Our ubiquinone is derived from natural fermentation with Rhodobacter sphaeroides bacteria.
Our directly bioactive, pharmaceutical grade reduced L-glutathione is 100% vegan and derived from natural fermentation with kefir yeast fungus.
Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) is a vitamin-like substance discovered in 2003 that, like the coenzyme Q10, plays an important role in energy production in the mitochondria and in the antioxidative system of the body. In contrast to coenzyme Q10, however, PQQ cannot be produced by the body and must be consumed via the diet. PQQ naturally occurs in small quantities in green peppers, tofu, kiwi, and green tea. Due to the "newness" of this substance, PQQ requires Novel Food authorisation from the EU for admission as an ingredient in food supplements.
For our products we exclusively use the premium PQQ active ingredient MGCPQQ® that is produced according to patented methods without the use of auxiliary materials. This ingredient is ultra pure (99%+), non-GMO, and free from allergens, heavy metals and nanoparticles. MGCPQQ®is the only PQQ with EU Novel Food authorisation.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
