Ashwagandha Powder
Ashwagandha, also known as the sleeping berry (Withania somnifera), originates from the arid regions of India and has played a role in Ayurvedic teachings there for thousands of years. Ashwagandha is a plant from the nightshade family. The name Ashwagandha comes from Sanskrit and loosely translates to "smell of the horse," as the roots smell strongly of horse. The term "somnifera" comes from Latin and means "bringing sleep" ("somnus" = sleep, "ferre" = to bring), which is why it is also known as the sleeping berry. However, it is not the ashwagandha berry - which is poisonous in large quantities due to its alkaloid content and also tastes very bitter - that is used, but the roots and leaves. These parts of the plant contain the so-called withanolides, the most well-researched phytochemicals in ashwagandha to date. Our ashwagandha powder comes from hand-picked roots that are carefully washed, dried in a raw food process at 42°C and gently ground.
Ashwagandha Extract
Our premium organic ashwagandha extract comes from the top region in India. The geographic location, climate, soil and organic cultivation in Rajasthan, India, produce the world's best ashwagandha plants. Our original KSM-66® is a patented raw material that is extracted exclusively with water and therefore contains all the phytochemicals of the root in their natural ratio and is also free from the chemical solvents and alcohol that are usually used for extraction. With a guaranteed 5% withanolides (HPLC measurement method), it is the most concentrated full-spectrum withanolide extract in the world. Only the highest quality root pieces and no leaves are used in our specially produced extract. The roots are deliberately not pretreated with milk in order to obtain a 100% vegan end product.
Banana
Our premium banana powder is made from 100% sun-ripened, fully ripe, hand-picked and peeled bananas from certified organic cultivation in Amazonia (Brazil). After harvesting, the fruit is freeze-dried to preserve its vital nutrients. This preserves both the raw food quality and the full-bodied, naturally sweet aroma of the banana.
Cacao
The history of cocoa dates back to the 14th century, when the Aztecs considered cocoa to be sacred and worshipped it as a gift from God. They used cocoa beans not only as an offering and a means of payment, but also to make a bitter, spicy drink called Xocóatl, from which the word chocolate originated.
Our cocoa powder comes from certified organic cultivation in the heart of the Amazon region of Peru. The raw cocoa beans come directly from a renowned fine cocoa finca in San Martín (single origin). Our organic cocoa powder consists of a 100% blend of the fine cocoa varieties Criollo and Trinitario. After careful hand harvesting, the cocoa beans are gently processed by experienced farmers. This ensures that the full bitter taste and the wealth of valuable phytochemicals are fully preserved.
Vanilla
Our bourbon vanilla (Planifolia) comes from organic cultivation in Madagascar. After harvesting the pods, they are sorted strictly according to aroma and then carefully crushed. The result is a light, homogeneous powder with a particularly rich, intense vanilla aroma and the fruity, gentle fragrance that is typical of the pods.
