Our full spectrum olive extract is obtained via a pure water/ethanol extraction. Due to their high phytonutrient content, both the olive fruit and leaves are used. The standardised production conditions result in an extract with a guaranteed high content of oleuropein of 20%, triterpenic acids of 13%, hydroxytyrosol of 3% and tocopherols of 3%. No other solvents (i.e. methanol or acetone) are used in order to prevent the natural purity of the raw materials. Due to the manufacturer's commitment to sustainability, the plants are sourced from farms located close to the distillery in order to minimise carbon emissions. All waste products generated during the extraction process are then collected and returned to the farms as fertiliser. The supplier is also a sponsor of an initiative called "Sustainex", which is a case study for the transition from a fossil fuel-based economy to a new green and sustainable economy.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
