The nettle is native to large areas of the northern hemisphere. It grows to a height of around one and a half metres.
The nettle is a plant from the nettle family and is found all over the world. Nettles grow as an annual or perennial herbaceous plant and can reach a height of 10cm to 3 metres, depending on the location and species.
The root of the nettle is thin and feathery and often branches out several times; it is dried and then finely chopped.
