The açaí berry (pronounced ah-sah-EE) is the dark purple fruit of the slender Euterpe oleracea, or the açaí palm. Its berries, which are rich in bioactives, have recently evolved from the nutritious staple food of the Tupi population in Brazil to a valued superfood across the world.

The acerola shrub, whose fruits look similar to European cherries (although they are not related), is endemic to Central and South America. Acerola grows mainly along roadsides and rivers, but also on dry, rocky mountain slopes at altitudes up to 1600m. The acerola cherry is known for its exceptionally high natural content of vitamin C with approximately 1700mg / 100g in the fresh fruit.

Our organic pineapple pieces are made from fully sun-ripened organic fruits from Ghana. The fruit has a long ripening time and is hand-picked only once a year. It is then gently dried to retain its typical fruity, sweet flavour, pleasant sourness and soft texture. No additives, unsulphurised, vegan.

Baobab is the fruit of the baobab tree (Adansonia digitata), which is native to the dry savannas of southern Africa. All parts of the tree have been traditionally used for centuries. Baobab fruits are characterised by a high fibre content.

Our raw, organic camu camu powder (Myrciaria dubia) is derived from hand-picled whole fruits – including pulp and seeds – and is rich in vitamin C. This fruit grows wild along rivers in the Peruvian Amazon at an elevation of 200–300m. Sourced directly from the manufacturer and tested in a German laboratory.

The carob tree (Ceratonia siliqua) can live for hundreds of years, and grows strong, far-reaching networks of roots. Over 70% of traditional carob production worldwide takes place in Sicily, as the cultivation of carob has been intertwined with Sicilian culture for centuries.

Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is a plant from tropically warm regions that belongs to the mallow family. Hibiscus is known for its large red flowers that are rich in valuable bioactives and phytochemicals.

The lucuma fruit is native to the high altitudes of the Peruvian Andes and is one of the most widely cultivated fruits in Peru today. Due to its sweet and mild taste, which is slightly reminiscent of mango, caramel and chamomile, the fruit is traditionally used as a sugar substitute to refine desserts.

The Maqui berry (Aristotelia chilensis), also called Queldón, is characterised by an exceptionally high content of valuable phytochemicals. The blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus/Myrtilli fructus) belongs to the heather family (Ericaceae). It is native to the temperate climate zones of northern Europe and Asia and prefers semi-shady locations such as deciduous and coniferous forests. Its blue colour is due to the high proportion of secondary phytochemicals it contains.
