NAC (N-acetyl-L-cysteine) is the highly bioavailable, stabilised form of the semi-essential amino acid L-cysteine. NAC serves as a precursor to both glutathione and taurine, while L-cysteine itself is predominantly found in connective tissue, skin, hair, nails, muscles, and bones.
