For our Melosleep Duo, we use a combination of immediate-release melatonin and a patented sustained-release melatonin ingredient plus lemon balm. This combination has been specifically formulated to mimic the natural 8-hour sleep cycle. The immediately available melatonin is used to shorten the time it takes to fall asleep, followed by a continuous release of melatonin for the following 8 hours. The special release profile ensures that the correct dosage of melatonin is achieved without feeling drowsy the next morning. Our pure melatonin (99% purity) comes from European production. Our new depot melatonin ingredient is produced just for us without silicon dioxide. Instead of silicon dioxide, which is often contaminated with nanoparticles, we use a natural, silicon-rich bamboo extract.
For our lemon balm extract, we only use the leaves of lemon balm, which are rich in vital substances and grown without pesticides in Spain. After harvesting and careful selection of the leaves, they are processed using an environmentally friendly and patented extraction process (6-8:1) without chemical solvents or additives. This preserves the purity of the natural raw material and results in our full spectrum lemon balm extract with standardised 15% hydroxycinnamic acid and 7-12% rosmarinic acid.
The only other ingredient we use is premium gum arabic grown without pesticides as a pure natural filler. In contrast to the usual synthetic filler microcrystalline cellulose with nanoparticles, we use a natural, fibre-rich foodstuff as a filler. Our gum arabic comes from climate-neutral, sustainable, resource-saving and fair cultivation.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
