Finest Origin - Highest Grade

These wild cassia trees (Cinnamomum tamala) thrive in their natural environment in the mountainous region of Nepal at elevations of 500-2000 metres. The climate and the nature of the soil are ideal for its growth and thus for the development of its complex ingredients. The leaves are hand-harvested between August and November. After being transported to our own distillery, the fresh and semi-dried leaves are distilled using gentle steam distillation, allowing the fine aromas of the malabar leaves to unfold in high concentration.

Farm

This family-run company was founded in Nepal around 2010. The cooperating farms and farmers are regularly trained in controlled organic cultivation and new farms are acquired. The range of essential oils consists either of plants that are cultivated organically or come from wild collections in the mountains of Nepal. The joy and passion of growing and harvesting local aromatic plants and processing them in our own distilleries across the country can be felt in the fine aromas of these oils. Most of the products are certified with the EU organic seal.

Malabar leaf

The evergreen malabar leaf tree (Cinnamomum tamala), also known as the Indian laurel tree or mother cinnamon, belongs to the laurel family (Lauraceae). It reaches a height of up to 20 metres and has a fragrant grey-brown bark. Its leathery, up to 25cm lancet-shaped green leaves are criss-crossed with three raised veins. It produces fine white-yellow panicle-shaped flowers, which develop into dark blue to black fruit berries. The plant, which is highly valued in the Indian subcontinent, is traditionally used to help with digestive problems or as a remedy for toothache. The leaves and bark of the tree are used for flavouring.

Aroma

With its calming yet revitalising properties, the uniquely warm and cinnamony aroma provides invigorating support for those suffering from exhaustion and emotional upsets.
