How are we different?
Magnesium bisglycinate is produced from a water and catalyst-assisted reaction between magnesium oxide and the vegan amino acid glycine: two glycinate ions attach to the positively charged magnesium ion, resulting in magnesium bisglycinate. Other magnesium bisglycinate products on the market are frequently produced with a high amount of magnesium oxide, resulting in its presence in the end product. With a magnesium content of 20%, our magnesium glycinate raw material achieves a magnesium glycinate content of 80% and magnesium oxide content of 20%. This product offers an ideal combination of the rapid availability of magnesium bisglycinate and the slow absorption rate magnesium oxide, giving it an excellent repository effect. This high-dose magnesium bisglycinate has a total raw material purity of 98.0%.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We use environmentally friendly amber glass jars for the packaging of this product.

Magnesium Glycinate
Magnesium glycinate (as magnesium bisglycinate) contributes to healthy protein synthesis, normal functioning of the nervous system and muscles and normal mental function. Magnesium is present in a chelate complex bound to the amino acid glycine; in this molecular structure, magnesium cannot form any undesirable compounds with other nutrients, so that each nutrient can have its full effect.

Take 2 capsules daily spread over the day with 200ml of water.
Note: Spreading the dosage out across the day can improve absorption, since only a limited amount of magnesium can be absorbed at a time. Ideal intake times for magnesium include the morning just after waking, before lunch or after sports and in the evening before sleeping. Taking magnesium on an empty stomach or 30 minutes before a meal can improve absorption.
Daily Requirements
The German Nutrition Society recommends a daily intake of between 300–400mg of magnesium (NRV: 375mg). However, individual magnesium needs may vary according to biochemical factors, and can be significantly increased during stressful periods.
Note: According to the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), magnesium intake through supplements should not exceed a maximum daily amount of 250mg of magnesium in food supplements in order to avoid a laxative effect (mild diarrhoea). The maximum amount applies to persons aged four years and older. For infants under 4 years of age, there is no such guidance relating to a daily maximum due to lack of data.
The BfR recommends that the daily dose be divided into at least two separate doses per day. This is because scientific data shows that magnesium tolerability is increased when intake is spread between two or more doses per day.
