Our premium spirulina algae flourishes in the picturesque Kenting National Park in southern Taiwan, close to the pristine Mount Da Wu, which is one of the highest mountains in the region. This kind of Spirulina platensis is the only one worldwide that is cultivated exclusively in clean, fresh, and mineral-rich mountain spring water from Mount Da Wu, and which is not exposed to pesticides, chemical fertilisers, or synthetic mineral additives during growth. Additionally, the consistently warm tropical climate and fresh air provide optimal growing conditions the whole year round. The fresh spring water supplies a rich source of minerals and trace elements that naturally accumulate in the algae completely without the use of common artificial fertilisers or the addition of synthetic minerals. Open basins produce especially nutritious and resistant spirulina in contrast to algae grown in glass pipes, because exposure to open nature and climatic conditions stimulates the production of useful protective compounds. After drying, the Spirulina platensis Pacifica is immediately packaged in airtight amber glass jars and not, as is often done, processed with UV light for longer shelf life.
