The tea leaves for our green tea extract come from an association of tea farmers located in remote, mountainous regions of the Chinese provinces of Fujiang, Guangxi and Yunnan, which offer optimal growing conditions for the plants. Some of these farmers have over 20 years of experience in growing green tea. The tea leaves are harvested only once per year, in spring, when they are particularly rich in valuable catechins. About 500-900 tonnes of green tea leaves are needed for a single extraction.
Our concentrated, decaffeinated green tea extract is made from premium, 100% pesticide-free green tea (Camellia sinensis) leaves, derived via an ultra-pure water extraction process. No toxic solvents are used in this process, so our extract is completely free from harmful extraction residues. The water is not used for any other extractions. This results in a particularly pure extract with 99.8% polyphenols, including 70.7% catechins and 46.8% EGCG, which is roughly equivalent to the composition of an infusion of green tea. Our goal with this product is to reproduce the tea polyphenols as naturally as possible in a highly concentrated extract.
Each tablet additionally contains 5mg plant-based quercetin, extracted from Japanese pagoda tree (Sophora Japonica) blossoms, with at least 95% quercetin content. We therefore avoid the use of synthetic quercetin, which has low bioavailability. Our water-only extraction process eliminates the use of chemical solvents and extraction residues.
Each tablet contains an additional 30mg of unique, synergistically effective vitamin C by PureWay-C®, which achieves significantly higher absorption than conventional vitamin C preparations due to its citrus bioflavonoid complex and coating of plant-bsed fatty acids. Due to the coating, the vitamin C can be better absorbed into the blood and the cells and has a long retention time. The coating also allows for a longer shelf-life and protection against oxidation.
The only other ingredient is premium acacia fibre from cultivation without plant protection products, which we use as a natural filler. In contrast to microcrystalline cellulose, which is often synthetic and high in nanoparticles, we use a 100% natural and fibre-rich food as a filler. Our acacia fibre is sourced from climate neutral, sustainable, resource-saving, and fair cultivation.
We use environmentally friendly amber glass jars for the packaging of this product.
