How are we different?
For our premium saponin complex of true Korean white and red Panax ginseng, American ginseng, Siberian ginseng, jiaogulan and the functional mushroom reishi, we use only select plant parts and roots from the best growing regions in the world.
The active compounds of white and red P. ginseng, jiaogulan and the functional mushroom reishi complement each other well. The complex stands out for its high saponin content and its balanced Yin/Yang ratio.
The saponins it contains belong to the dammarane-type triterpene saponins, glycosidic compounds that have been examined closely in a wide range of studies. They include the ginsenosides of ginseng, the gypenosides of jiaogulan, a ginsenoside from the fermentation of red ginseng and the eleutherosides of Siberian ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus). All of these are complemented by the polysaccharide-rich reishi mushroom powder.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We package this product in amber glass jars instead of plastic to protect the ingredients from light.

Saponins
The components of this complex form a distinctive combination of various triterpene saponins from true white and red ginseng roots, Siberian ginseng, American ginseng and jiaogulan, the "herb of immortality". They are completed by polysaccharides from a reishi extract.
White Panax Ginseng
White ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) originates from northeast China and Korea. In its countries of origin, the plant has been highly valued for centuries and is also referred to as the "root of strength" in Chinese tradition. The roots of the ginseng, which have developed over many years, are mainly used. They contain an exceptionally large number of special saponins, also called ginsenosides, which can be further differentiated according to their chemical structure. Today, the plant is rarely found wild and is mainly cultivated. The ginsenoside content depends significantly on factors such as growth duration, soil quality, climatic conditions and altitude.
Red Ginseng
Red and white ginseng both come from the same plant: Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer. The difference between the two lies in the processing methods following harvest. To preserve the valuable ingredients, the roots of Panax are treated with steam. In the process, the root turns red and becomes more resistant, and other active substances are produced, such as maltol. This process is also known as the Maillard reaction.
Fermented Red Ginseng
The special fermentation process with valuable enzymes, vitamin C and bifidobacteria allows the red ginseng to be further processed. The fermentation process facilitates the breakdown of the ginsenosides contained in the roots.
Siberian Ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus)
Siberian ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus or Hedera senticosa), also known as taiga root, the devil's bush or prickly panax, belongs to the Araliaceae family and is extremely valued in Chinese tradition. This thorny shrub is native to eastern Russia, China, Japan and Korea. While the leaves of the plant can be prepared as a tea, the root is rich in the constituents specific to this plant, the eleutherosides, which are mainly triterpene saponins and phenylpropanoids.
American Ginseng
Originating in North America and Canada, American ginseng (Panax ginseng quinquefolius) is the closest relative of the true Korean or Chinese Panax ginseng. American ginseng belongs to the ivy plant family and was given its name because of the similarity of its ingredients to the true Panax. American ginseng contains a large number of special triterpene saponins called ginsenosides.
Jiaogulan
The jiaogulan is known by many names, although "immortality herb" is one of its more common names in Europe. This name is directly taken from the Chinese 仙草 Xian Cao, which means herb of immortality. But also the names "southern ginseng" or "woman's ginseng" are attributed to Jiaogulan in this country. It contains ingredients that are almost only found in Jiaogulan, which are called gypenosides after its Latin name.
Reishi
The functional mushroom, also known as Lingzhi or varnished conk, is one of the key functional mushrooms of Chinese tradition. Known as the "mushroom of immortality" or the "mushroom of eternal life", it contains valuable polysaccharides.
