Finest Origin - Highest Grade

Fragonia is a relatively new essential oil in aromatherapy, introduced to the professional world in 2006. The oil is extracted from a selected chemotype of the plant species Agonis fragrans, which was purposely chosen by our manufacturer for its balanced natural fragrances and has been grown exclusively on its land in the southwest of Western Australia since 2002. The fragrance profile of the natural ingredients: monoterpenes (e.g. alpha-, beta-pinine, limonene), oxides (1,8 cineole) and monoterpenols (e.g. linalool) is very well balanced and thus represents a speciality. The fresh young twigs and leaves are harvested in November and December and gently distilled by steam to this essential oil.

Farm

We source this essential oil from a small family business located in southwestern Australia. Founded in 1997, the company specializes in the cultivation of native aromatic plants and the production of essential oils from these plants, while adhering to controlled and sustainable farming practices. The origin and quality of the plants and the extraction of the essential oils are very well documented. The high quality essential oil is extracted directly after harvesting on the farm in compliance with very high quality standards by gentle saturated steam distillation.

Fragonia

Agonis fragrans belongs to the large family of myrtle (Myrtaceae). The name Fragonia was created by the Australian farmer and essential oil producer from whom we source this essential oil, with the particular aromatic properties in mind. In general, the plant is also known as Coarse Tea Tree in Australia and has its natural occurrence in the southwest of Western Australia. There it is often found in wetlands near the coast. The shrub reaches a growth height of up to two meters and has medium green lance-shaped aromatic leaves. Between February and May, the plant bears a multitude of white flowers.

Aroma

The balanced aroma invigorates the body and gives a feeling of safety and security on an emotional level. A fragrance that gives inner peace and harmony.
