Finest Origin - Highest Grade

The ylang ylang trees grow according to organic standards on the tropical island of Madagascar, where the climatic conditions there, including rain, winds and high temperatures, allow the plants to develop their unique aromas and ingredients, including germacrene D and beta-caryophyllene. Within a few hours of hand-harvesting, the fresh petals are gently steam-distilled, forming fraction I. The finest aromas are found in this fraction. From harvesting to distillation, processing requires a great amount of skill, which is evident in the aroma of the oils.

Farm

This essential oil is sourced from a renowned and certified producer based in Valréas in northern Provence, France. The company was founded in 1980 and owns several essential oil plantations and farms all over the world. The origin and quality of the plants are well documented. The company ensures that the highest standards are maintained and works professionally and passionately to produce excellent essential oils.

The oils are produced from freshly harvested plant materials via steam distillation. The experienced producers use a very gentle distillation method with low water pressure, which leads to the extraction of almost all the valuable plant substances. Their products are certified organic according to French EcoCert standards.

YLANG YLANG

The ylang ylang trees thrive in tropical and subtropical forests from India to Australia, as well as on the Pacific Islands and the Indian Ocean, in countries such as the Comoros and Madagascar. These exotic plants belong to the Annonaceae family. The tree grows up to 20m tall, and has hanging branches with medium to dark green leaves. In autumn, it produces clusters of highly fragrant yellow flowers. Distilled in stages, the petals produce different distillates with correspondingly different aromas within the period of around 20 hours.

Aroma

The exotic scent is simultaneously fresh and floral-sweet. The aroma has uplifting properties, which promote feelings of serenity.
