Organic Curcumin Complex Ultra + Vitamin C from Organic Acerola
This product offers the best of the turmeric root through a patented, world-class extraction process. Together, the curcuminoids, turmerosaccharides and nature-identical vitamin C create a unique synergistic effect.
CurQfen® – High Bioavailability
CurQfen® is a front-runner in the world of turmeric extracts. It provides 45x more curcuminoids than a typical curcuma extract and has a purity level of 95%. Normally, curcuminoids have very low bioavailability (due to weak absorption, hardly any membrane permeability as well as rapid decay), which prompts many manufacturers to add piperine or synthetic substances such as polysorbate to counter it, but CurQfen® overcomes the curcuminoids' naturally low bioavailability by coating them with fenugreek fibre.
Long Retention Time
Galactomannans convert the free curcuminoids into a water-soluble colloidal form (curcumagalactomanosides) which prevents liver enzymes from prematurely breaking them down. Retention in the blood is increased from just under one hour to up to 10 hours. Extensive research has demonstrated the unsurpassed bioavailability and long retention time of CurQfen®.
High Active Ingredient Content with 40% Free Curcuminoids
Bonded curcuminoids cannot be metabolised; CurQfen® alone is guaranteed to contain 40% free, unbound (bioactive) curcuminoids, a proportion twice as high as a standard turmeric extract. This means that 250mg of CurQfen® can deliver the equivalent of 500mg of other turmeric extracts. This effectiveness is emphasised by the fact that CurQfen® allows the free curcuminoids to be absorbed at a rate 10 times higher than standard tumeric extracts.
Turmacin® – Turmerosaccharides
Although the bioactives of the turmeric plant are not water-soluble, aqueous curcuminoid solutions have been a staple in Indian medicine and cuisine since ancient times. Aqueous turmeric extracts have been shown to contain turmerosaccharides, bioactives which, when supplied at a suitable dosage, demonstrate effects similar to curcuminoids. Turmerosaccharides act synergistically with curcuminoids and are highly bioavailable due to being water soluble.
Organic Acerola Cherries
The acerola shrub, whose fruits look similar to European cherries (although they are not related), is endemic to Central and South America. Acerola grows mainly along roadsides and rivers, but also on dry, rocky mountain slopes at altitudes up to 1,600m. The acerola we use in this formulation is sourced from Brazil, where it is gently freeze dried immediately after harvest.
High-Dose Vitamin C
Acerola cherries are exceptionally high in vitamin C (approximately 1,700mg/100g fresh). They are also rich in valuable phytochemicals, which further increase the retention and bioavailability of their natural vitamin C content. The gentle freeze-drying process produces a highly concentrated powder (30% vitamin C) and does not require the use of controversial carries such as maltodextrin.
