Finest Origin - Highest Grade

This clary sage is grown organically by experienced farmers in the well-known Drôme Provençale department in France at an elevation of 500 metres. This region has the ideal climate, which offers the sage plants the best conditions to fully develop their valuable ingredients and flavours in the herb and flowers, including linalyl acetate and geraniol. Only the fresh flowering herb is thus used for the production of clary sage essential oil. The oil is extracted by steam distillation directly after harvesting on site in compliance with the highest quality standards. Thanks to their many years of experience, the distillers use a very gentle distillation process at low water pressure, which leads to an almost complete extraction of the valuable plant substances.

Farm

This essential oil is sourced from a renowned and certified producer based in Valréas in northern Provence, France. The company was founded in 1980 and owns several essential oil plantations and farms all over the world. The origin and quality of the plants are well documented. The company ensures that the highest standards are maintained and works professionally and passionately to produce excellent essential oils.

The oils are produced from freshly harvested plant materials via steam distillation. The experienced producers use a very gentle distillation method with low water pressure, which leads to the extraction of almost all the valuable plant substances. Their products are certified organic according to French EcoCert standards.

Clary sage

Clary sage belongs to the labiate family (Lamiaceae) and the sage genus. It grows as an upright, branched shrub that can reach a height of one metre. From spring to summer, it forms cream, lilac-coloured to pink-blue panicles or racemes. Clary sage can be found from Europe, e.g. France, to Central Asia.

Aroma

The intensely spicy-sweet aromas help calm the mind. Nervousness and feelings of tension melt and give way to new inspiration.
