How are we different?

Our Chinese peony extract is obtained from the root of Chinese peonies (Paeonia lactiflora Pall.) via pure water-ethanol extraction (food grade). No additional extracting agents or carriers are required for this process. The extracted liquid is concentrated under vacuum and spray-dried to preserve the ingredients, resulting in a pure extract with a standardised high content of 10% paeoniflorin.

For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.

Effects

The Chinese peony with the Latin name Paeonia lactiflora Pall. arrived in Europe at the beginning of the 19th century from its native region, which stretches from southern Siberia to northern China. The perennials, which are also known as fine peonies, triggered a real boom in breeding, particularly in France. Many of the varieties created at that time and up to the beginning of the 20th century are still commercially available today. When the Chinese peony was later crossed with other wild peonies in the USA, the range of colors and shapes expanded many times over. In China, Paeonia lactiflora is still an important traditional remedy today.
