This Roman camomile essential oil is sourced directly from a small, certified organic farm in Morocco. The camomile native to this region finds optimal growing conditions in this desert-like landscape. In particular, the stimulating climate with constant changes between very cold nights and hot, dry winds during the day stimulates the particularly concentrated formation of valuable ingredients and aromas in the camomile, such as isobutyl angelate and 3-methylamyl angelate. The oil is extracted by steam distillation directly after harvesting on the farm in compliance with the highest quality standards.

Farm

We source this essential oil from a renowned and certified producer in the Provençal countryside of Valréas in the north of Provence in France. The company was founded around 1980 and owns plantations and farms with essential oil plants worldwide. The origin and quality of the plants are very well documented. The company works professionally and passionately according to quality standards and with many years of experience. The oil is extracted by steam distillation directly after harvesting on the farm in compliance with the highest quality standards. Thanks to their many years of experience, the distillers use a particularly gentle distillation process at low water pressure, which leads to an almost complete extraction of the valuable plant substances. Its products are certified with the French organic seal EcoCert.

Camomile

Camomile belongs to the cobra family (Asteraceae). Roman camomile grows in meadows and fallow land in Europe and North Africa. It has downy, hairy leaves and in summer margarite-like, single long flower heads with an intensely aromatic scent. It can grow up to 30cm tall.

Character

The typical herbaceous-floral scent of camomile has a particularly relaxing effect on the psyche and nervous system. The calming, sweetish nuances relax those with sleep problems, provide serenity in the face of tension and stress and have a calming effect on quick-tempered moods.
