Finest Origin - Highest Grade

The essential balsam fir oil (Abies balsamea) distilled from the bark comes from controlled wild harvesting in the vastness of Canada's boreal coniferous forest. The balsam fir is highly resistant to the climatic conditions of this region with extreme temperatures and as a result develops natural ingredients such as α & β pinene, limonene, camphene and bornyl acetate in a balanced ratio. During the harvest in spring and autumn, the fresh bark is steam-processed in the local distillery to produce this aromatic essential oil. The passion, experience in harvesting, distillation and sustainable production methods are reflected in this well-balanced essential oil.

Farm

The producer of this essential oil is a company based in the north of the Canadian province of Québec since 2014, which has set itself the mission of sustainable development of the boreal forest of the Québec province, nature and wildlife conservation, partnership with the First Nations People and the Canadian government. The manufacturer pays attention to sustainability at all stages of production, from the tree harvest to the end product, and monitors, controls and documents these processes. The trees and plants used to produce the essential oils come mainly from sustainable and certified wild harvesting, from which high-quality essential oils and hydrolates are produced through steam distillation. The entire production process and the manufacturer's essential oils and hydroalents have been certified by Ecocert Canada since 2015.

Balsam fir

The balsam fir (Abies balsamea) is native to north-eastern North America, where it grows both in the lowlands and in the high mountains. The evergreen tree belongs to the pine family (Pinaceae) and can reach a height of 14 to 25 metres, depending on the location. The term "balsamea" refers to the aromatic scent of its flat, soft, dark green needles and resin. Native Americans traditionally used the resin, needles and bark of the balsam fir for a variety of medicinal uses, such as chewing the resin to treat colds.

Aroma

The balsamic, resinous and woody aroma is both relaxing, calming and revitalising for body and mind. The fragrance grounds you and allows you to accept life and yourself as it is.
