Our Baikal skullcap root extract with 60% baicalein is obtained by a pure water/ethanol extraction. This process mainly requires the roots of the plant because of their high phytochemical content. Due to the natural extraction process, these are many times more concentrated and the natural spectrum of the ingredients is largely preserved. No further solvents such as methanol or acetone are used, thereby preserving the natural purity of the raw material. Most powders on the market are derived from ground Scutellaria baicalensis root, whereas we carry a concentrated extract with standardized 60% baicalein.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
Baikal skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis) is a herbaceous plant belonging to the labiates family that is mainly found across China and Siberia. One of the most commonly used herbs in Chinese medicine, the use of Baikal skullcap in China can be traced back as far as 2000 years. The most widely used part of the plant is its root, as it contains a high concentration of secondary plant compounds such as the flavone baicalein.
Take 1 capsule (200mg baicalein) with 200ml water daily.
Do not exceed the recommended dose. Food supplements cannot replace a balanced and varied diet. Keep out of reach of children.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
