The production process for gummies requires gelling agents that guarantee a good texture, as well as coating agents that prevent the gummies from sticking together. We use the purely plant-based gelling agent pectin for our vitamin gummies. We completely avoid animal gelatine, which is often obtained from low-quality slaughterhouse waste, and modified starches. The latter are often used as a plant-based alternative to gelatine, but these are often chemically modified starches. We use coconut, rapeseed fat and carnauba wax as coating agents, making our vitamin gummies 100% vegan.
Artificial sweeteners or sugar substitutes are typically used in the production of vitamin gummies; however, our gummies are made completely without artificial sweeteners or added sugar. Instead, we have opted to use maltitol syrup. While this syrup is a type of sugar, maltitol is much more tooth-friendly than sugar. Maltitol also provides only about half as many calories and is also a good alternative for diabetics, as it has little effect on blood sugar. In contrast to gummies based on fruit sugar (fructose), gummies with maltitol are also suitable for people with fructose intolerance. Maltitol syrup is characterised by a pleasant, unadulterated sweetness.
Our Ashwagandha Calm Gummies are characterised by their fruity raspberry taste. Each gummy contains 50mg of ashwagandha root extract. The gummies are also 100% gluten- and soy-free.
We use light-protected and environmentally friendly amber glass instead of plastic for the packaging.
