The carotenoid astaxanthin is considered the "queen of carotenoids" and is responsible for the characteristic colouration of numerous types of fruits and vegetables as well as in flamingos and salmon. The green microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis synthesises it under difficult environmental conditions as a natural protective substance.

The bergamot (Citrus bergamia) belongs to the Citrus genus. The fruit is highly valued for its high phenolic content. We offer a pure bergamot extract with an exceptionally high flavanone content (35%+), obtained from the juice of the bergamot fruit via a patented, solvent-free extraction process. Grown under optimal conditions in Calabria, Italy.

The blood orange, which is mainly grown in Sicily, is characterised by its deep red flesh with a tart and sour berry aroma. The rich red colour of the blood orange is due to its high content of a antocyanins, a special class of secondary phytochemicals. The history of cacao dates back to the 14th century. For the Aztecs, cacao was sacred and honoured as a holy gift. Modern science shows that cacao contains a high number of polyphenols. We offer a pure cacao bean extract (Theobroma cacao) standardised to min. 50% polyphenols, obtained through a 62:1 extraction process using only food-grade ethanol. Vegan, no additives.

Coenzyme Q10 is an important, fat-soluble coenzyme, involved in numerous processes in the body. It can be absorbed in very small quantities through food, but it is mainly found in foods of animal origin - particularly in tissues and organs with high energy requirements, such as the heart, liver, kidneys and muscles.

Glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide that is composed of the 3 amino acids glutamine, cysteine and glycine.

Pomegranate contains numerous potent phytochemicals with powerful antioxidative properties, one of the most important and well-researched being punicalagin. This tannin can be primarily found in the rind and the membranes between the arils. Punicalagin is a compound composed of ellagic acid (an antioxidative polyphenol) and diverse, antioxidative tannins.

Tea polyphenols, catechins and EGCG from the green tea plant (Camellia sinensis). This decaffeinated extract comes from high-quality water extraction (no solvents) and from our own production.

The bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus/Myrtilli fructus), also known as a European blueberry, has been highly regarded by many renowned herbalists, including Hildegard von Bingen. Its blue colour is due to the high proportion of secondary phytochemicals it contains.

OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanidins) are a substance group belonging to the flavonols, which consist of polymers of catechins and epicatechins. All of our products are produced via pure water and food-grade ethanol extraction and contain absolutely no additives. We regularly test for OPC content via the HPLC method (highest standard) at the Technical University of Brunswick.

Resveratrol is one of the polyphenols and is concentrated in particular in the skins of numerous fruits, including red grapes. Resveratrol exists in two forms, cis- and trans-resveratrol. Only the trans form exerts its full biological and physical effect.

Rutin is a secondary phytochemical from the flavonoid group as well as the glycosidic compound of quercetin or luteolin. Red vine leaves, rue, parsley and the Japanese pagoda tree are naturally rich in rutin.

The trace element selenium supports the normal function of the immune system, the protection of cells from oxidative damage, thyroid function, the maintenance of hair and nails as well as sperm formation, which could be relevant for fertility.
