Our vegan 5-HTP (5-hydroxytryptophan) comes from a pure water extract of the African black bean (Griffonia simplicifolia). No solvents are used in the water extraction, so this Griffonia simplicifolia extract does not contain any residues such as acetone or N-hexane. We have also made sure that our 5-HTP is free from peak X, meaning that the extract does not contain any tryptophan-4,5-dione.
Our elaborate manufacturing process, in which no genetically modified microorganisms are used, results in a high-quality, completely vegan raw material with a purity level of at least 98% – no additives.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
Take 1–3 capsules (50mg 5-HTP per capsule) with 200ml water daily before a meal. Start with 1 capsule daily, slowly increasing to 3.
